It’s possible that you may have heard that the housing market in Grand Rapids, in the particular price point our home is at, is incredibly hot—insane even. Even the Wall Street Journal put out an article about it. Late last Monday morning we put our house in a Make Me Move status on Zillow as a precursor to us actually putting our home for sale in the next week or so. Well, within 24 hours we had eight private showings over Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
We were pretty confident that selling wouldn’t be an issue, this, however was a bit shocking. The house isn’t even “technically” listed and we have eight potential buyers chopping at the bit to make a visit.
Well, Wednesday night, after all of the showings were complete, the offers began coming in. Each one incredible. This is probably the most accurate GIF I’ve found to represent what I believe the buyer pool looked like:
It felt like that anyway.
In filtering through the offers, one of them was perfect for us and will help, I believe, us and them begin the next chapters in our lives.
