We finally found a house! Well, we actually found the house a couple weeks ago but we have been sitting relatively quiet on this in fear that things would not happen as we hoped. However, today the house we had an offer accepted on passed the inspection and appraisal. We are closing in just two more weeks on July 31st with possession at close. It has been a turbulent search and we are excited to finally be done. It will also be nice to be done with rent.
The house is located on the Southeast side of Grand Rapids in an established community called Alger Heights. It’s a great, family friendly, well maintained area that we are sure to be happy in for the next few years.
Although we haven’t officially closed on the home yet, we wanted to share some photos. As you’ll see, the previous homeowners did some extensive updating but left a few things for us to complete over the next few months. Some windows still need replacing, eventually we’ll need to put siding on the home, probably add insulation, and a few other cosmetic things need to be done but all in all, the place is move in ready.
Oh, the house is 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths with a detached two stall garage.
