Happily Ever After: A True Story

So, call me a nerd, or whatever you want, but I am officially in love with a vacuum. Actually, I am having a love triangle with three vacuums. I know, it is a sad thing. And no, it is not a perverted as it sounds. This brief story involves Chris, Becky, a camera, a cat, wood floors and three vacuums…and a bird.

It started with a Dyson. We needed a new vacuum. We have this lovely cat and these amazing 150 year old, dark wood floors. However, they hate each other. So in order to make them get along, we introduced them to the Dyson. It worked well…as long as we stayed involved. And that was the problem. We never moderated the relationship. Enter Becky and Chris who needed some camera lessons. Payment equaled a nice, never used Roomba!

This Roomba was love at first sight. I figured we’d actually use it our bedroom to pick up after Penelope (our bird) who likes to throw her food more than she like to eat her food. It is another interesting relationship I may explain another day.  It worked wonders. And Ben, nor I, were required. So, we bought another Roomba for the rest of the loft.

And now, the cat, the dark wood floors, and the new Roomba all live happily ever after. And our house stays perpetually clean. Thanks Becky and Chris!
