Summer?

It seems as if yesterday was just the beginning of the year! Where did summer go? Truth is, we have been many places, all over the state.

For us, like many in our family, our summer really kicked off with Becca and Ryan’s wedding. Which was absolutely wonderful!

From there, we hooked up the camper and went to our favorite spot, Traverse City. We tried our a new place this year called Lake Leelanau RV Park. It’s probably the nicest campground we have ever been to. Complete with paved sites and daily garbage pickup.

Our next trip after Traverse City, was Mackinaw Mill Creek Campground. This one is much more along the lines of real camping that Traverse City. This one is also the largest campground we have ever been to. Of course, with any trip to Mackinaw, you have to make it over to Mackinac Island and capture a few good photos along the way.

From Mackinaw, we drove directly to River Valley RV in Gladwin, Michigan for a bit of a Bennett family reunion, camping-style. This is the first time we’ve had a family camping event, which was a great time. Something we can’t wait to do next year.

And, because we can’t stay away, we wrapped up our summer camping back in Traverse City. We’ll spare you anymore photos. But, we have a few more trips coming up that we’ll be sure to post about. Until then, you can find us every so often at The Wild Pumpkin helping out for a few weekends in the fall.
